ForthTox Ltd can now offer assessments of chemicals using the predictive software, DEREK, developed by Lhasa UK. This has considerable potential for highlighting potential problems and may be used for prioritising candidates for development as well as being an useful part of assessments conducted under REACH, where it may help to reduce the use of costly in vivo tests. Another important use is the assessment of intermediates in synthetic pathways, as these compounds often have less data available regarding potential toxicity that the final product.

We also have a licence for METEOR, the metabolism prediction software that goes with DEREK.
